The Connected World Building APIs enable users to create, retrieve, update, and manage buildings and building attributes within The Connected World platform. The APIs provide real-time access to building data, ensuring that location and building information remains accurate, current, and readily available across integrated systems. These APIs improve operational efficiency by providing immediate access to the latest building information and attribute updates. By reducing data latency and minimizing manual maintenance, organizations can improve the accuracy of quoting, serviceability checks, and location-based decision-making. Real-time building data helps ensure seamless integration across the connectivity ecosystem, enabling faster responses to customer needs and improving overall data quality and customer experience.
The Location Utilities API enables customers to convert geographic coordinates into a Global Location ID (GLID), a standardized identifier used to uniquely identify locations across systems and providers. The API also supports GLID lookups, bulk GLID generation, and census block retrieval for a given location. This API simplifies location normalization and identity management by providing a consistent way to reference locations throughout quoting, qualification, ordering, and network planning workflows. By standardizing location identifiers across disparate systems and datasets, organizations can improve data accuracy, streamline integrations, and reduce ambiguity in location-based transactions.
The Network Intelligence API allows retrieval of network information based on a specific address, including broadband, cableco, near-net, on-net, telco, WISP, and other provider data. The API suite includes endpoints for retrieving network intelligence for individual locations, bulk address processing, provider information, and building-level connectivity details. This service helps businesses gain a comprehensive understanding of which providers are already connected to a building (on-net) and which are nearby (near-net). By identifying competitive providers in the area, companies can strategically position their services and pricing to compete effectively. Additionally, Network Intelligence enables businesses to identify potential partners to extend their network reach by leveraging near-net providers, creating opportunities for collaboration or wholesale agreements to cover areas where they lack direct infrastructure. This enhances both competitive strategy and network expansion capabilities.
